Our Process
1) Shot blasting (surface prep)
What it is: We blast the steel with abrasive media to remove any mill scale, light rust, oils, and surface contamination, and to slightly “key” the surface.
Why it matters for quality: Powder coating is only as good as what it’s sticking to. Shot blasting creates a clean, consistent surface so the next layers bond properly and you don’t get premature peeling or flaking.
2) Zinc primer (corrosion protection layer)
What it is: A zinc-rich primer is applied as the first protective coating.
Why it matters for quality: Zinc helps protect steel from corrosion (it’s essentially a sacrificial barrier). If the sign ever gets a small chip or knock, the zinc layer helps slow down rusting and protects the steel underneath—hugely important for outdoor UK conditions.
3) Powder coated colour (durable top coat + finish)
What it is: The final coloured powder coat is applied and cured to form a hard, sealed finish in your chosen colour.
Why it matters for quality: This is the layer customers see, but it’s also the main weather/UV barrier. It gives:
A tough, scratch-resistant finish
Strong colour consistency (great for matching club branding)
A sealed surface that’s easy to wipe clean and holds up outdoors
For head greenkeepers and club directors who want the course to look sharper
Your signage is one of the first things golfers notice—and one of the simplest ways to lift the overall feel of the course.
If you’re dealing with tired, mismatched markers (or constant “where’s the next tee?” questions), we’ll help you upgrade to a consistent, branded set that looks professional and lasts.
You’ll get clear drawings to approve before anything is made, then we manufacture and finish everything to match your club colours.

FAQ
Can you match our club colours?
Yes—powder coating can be matched closely to your chosen colours. If you have a reference (e.g., RAL code) we can work from that.
Do we get to approve the design?
Absolutely. We send drawing samples for approval before manufacturing.
Can you do a small order?
Yes. Whether you need a full course refresh or a handful of replacements, we can help.
What do you need from us to get started?
A rough list of what you need and any logos/wording. If you’re not sure on sizes, we can recommend common options.
